Walgreens 4/30 & 5/1

I ran to Walgreens yesterday because they had an in-ad coupon for Walgreens Brand 20 ft foil making it $.69. I was on my last roll of foil so I figured I would pick some up! But when I got there, the store only had 25 ft size! I took it up to find out if they had any of the 20 ft size and turns out they never got any. But because they only received the 25 ft size, they were offering the 25 ft at the same $.69 price! I picked up 10 packages for $7.33!

While this wasn't as cheap as I usually get stuff, it was something I needed since I was on my last roll! Plus I had some wiggle room in my budget for it!!

This morning I went to Walgreens for one thing... the FREE Right Guard Body wash. I ended up buying 12 because for once Walgreens was stocked up!! I was hoping that they would be so that I can donate more to those who were hit by the recent outbreaks of tornados. But I guess I started the day off right today with 12 Body washes I paid a whooping total of NOTHING! And if you want to score some free Right Guard Body Wash too check out my post here!

How did you do at Walgreens today?

  2. I did pretty good for it being my first "real" coupon trip. I didnt have any ECB to start... so that didnt help any. But I got the Gillete Proglide razor set for .89. Floss was still on sale for .99 so I got that for free! Then I bought the cottonelle deal, some head and shoulders, some herbal essence...

All in all I ended up getting about $45 worth of stuff for $11... which I didnt think was too bad for not having any ECB to start with and for my first trip! I ended up with $16 in ECB for my next trip!!!!

  3. I don't understand how the Right Guard is Free. I know there's a B1G1 deal plus the B1G1 in the paper but don't you still have to buy the first one? I would appreciate the clarification, please!! (and thank you in advance!) I hate going into the store unsure because I panic that I'm going to look stupid and end up not buying anything!

  5. I am with Christene. This is my first attempt at doing some extreme couponing and I don't understand how the B1G1 offers work with coupons.

  6. Is there a good time to get these sales? I have been stalking 4 walgreens and all are out of stock of EVERYTHING. Any good tips?

  7. They are out of stock because people like Rebecca swipe the shelves clean and leave nothing for the rest of us. That's great that you plan on donating Rebecca, but as a single mom of 3 teenage boys who really could of used the bodywash I think your a horrible example to follow.

  9. She is receiving Register Rewards, which are coupons to return to the store and get money off your next transaction. So she is paying up front and then getting it free the next time...in a sense

  10. I myself do not use coupons. i do not find that clipping and cutting and carrying coupons are worth the effort. I work fulltime with 2 kids and a husband with a dog. I have time to shop and that's about it. More power to the ppl that do it, but I can not see how having 720 rolls of paper towels is worth my effort. Also, the coupons now have a disclaimer on them like...one coupon, per item, per transaction, or no more than one coupon on similar items. So I would assume that the extreme couponing days are over soon
